Charles W. Sherrard Jr. is a 1988 graduate of Galena Park Senior High School. He went on to earn a BBA in Computer Information Systems from the University of Houston while simultaneously launching his IT career with Kellogg Brown and Root. During his tenure at KBR, he held several positions, culminating in his role as Region Manager of IT and Communications for the Balkans region, overseeing operations in Macedonia, Kosovo, and Greece. His international experience also includes work and residency in Kuwait and Dubai, UAE, where he led the procurement systems team.

In 2015, Mr. Sherrard joined Amazon Web Services, where he spent seven years leading the Professional Services Delivery team for the Central US. He transitioned to Google Cloud Consulting in 2022, where he currently serves in a similar leadership capacity. In addition to his corporate pursuits, Charles also speaks on a variety of topics, including Project Management and Leadership.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Sherrard is a devoted husband and proud father. He is also passionate about supporting young people of color as they pursue careers in technology. Of his time in the Galena Park School District, Mr. Sherrard fondly remembers many of his teachers and coaches, such as Coach Johnny Price, Roy Thomas, Coach Billy Rosemoore, Ms. Carolyn McCain, Ms. Patrica Travis, and Ms. Deborah Eaton, who encouraged him to work hard and dream big!
