How do I get a recommendation letter?
Just ask. But first give your teachers time. When it is time to request a recommendation letter for either college, scholarship, or job, your teachers are the way to go to. Teachers can speak on your work ethic, time management, and character traits. So get to know your teachers and allow them to get to know you as a great student.

How do I get community service hours?
Service hours are gained various ways. You can ask to help out a teacher, listen for service events, join clubs and organizations that volunteer together, or look around your community and ask for opportunities to help.

I don't know what I want to be in life. How do I find out more about careers?
Taking CTE courses is a great opportunity to gain knowledge about many career fields. Just talk with your teachers and they can provide plenty of insight. Take the ASVAB. Complete an interest inventory.

What is the most important thing if I want to get a job?
Employers want to hire someone that has qualities of a great student: good manners, on time, honest, reliable, responsible, trainable, not argumentative, willing to learn, reads, spells and writes well.
