• James B. Havard Elementary School is committed to the goal of encouraging greater involvement of parents in partnership with the school in the education of their children.  As parents and the school work together, student achievement is increased and children develop positive attitudes about self and school.

    The key factor in the home-school partnership is the relationship between the teacher and the parents.  Teachers are professionals who are knowledgeable of academic content and a variety of instructional resources and strategies.  Parents play an extremely important role as their children’s first teachers.  Parental support for their children and for the school is critical to student success.
